Film Daze

Canon Rebel SLR Film CameraSo the great debate of film vs digital cameras has been played out.
It seems that digital has gained popularity quickly, while film is now considered to be another relic of the past.

I'm almost afraid to find a new home for my trusty Canon SLR camera.
I have come up with many excuses to keep it...
- it's a back-up
- what if the digital age ends
- it might become a cherished (and valuable) item
- maybe I can pass it down
- it's still a great camera
- now I know what all the settings are for

Funny thing is - I've tried to re-home it, but it seems that it's not as valuable to anyone but me.
So until then, I'm keeping it, 'cause it really is an excellent camera and I have many, many photos to prove it.

Christmas Lights

Christmas Tree Lights BokehTurning on the Christmas lights makes the house so festive!

We had fun decorating the tree - getting out the decorations, untangling the lights and hanging up the ornaments and candy canes. Once it was all set up, we turned off the other lights and flipped the 'on' switch for the Christmas lights.....

Ooh
Ahhh

Merry Christmas!

Frosty

Frost on Leaves
Woke up to frost on the lawn (the roof, the cars, mailbox, etc) a few Saturdays ago. Thought I'd better get a few photos before the sun reached the yard. Once the sun touched the yard, it was like it never happened...but I have proof that it did!

After Thanksgiving, we took a walk at the nearby creek
and I wanted to share what we saw that day...

Squirrel at the Park

Squirrel at Landa Park, New Braunfels, TX
A few weeks back, I had made my way to the local park during my lunch break. It was a nice afternoon, one where you don't feel the need to go back to work, but know that the daily grind beckons and so you do return.
I like how this squirrrel seems to say, "Sure, I'll let you take a photo for your blog"
What caption or bubble thought would you insert for this photo?
